Wet Eczema

Wet Eczema is easily treatedA relatively common condition, particularly during the spring and summer moulting time, is wet eczema.

It is usually caused by the dog chewing his skin as a result of coat loss. Any break in the skin will allow bacteria to enter and thus cause an infection or "hot spot". This can easily be treated but is best avoided by ensuring that your dog's coat is thoroughly combed out while moulting.
