Husky Pyometra

Pyometra is an infection of the womb. It is fairly common in older bitches and, when it occurs, it requires urgent surgery similar to a hysterectomy in humans. One of the most common signs is the bitch drinks much more than usual. She may also have a raised temperature. The operation is a major one and she will need time and care to get well again.
