False Pregnancy

Most breeds of dog are commonly affected by false pregnancy and Siberians are certainly no exception.

The bitch is "programmed" to have puppies when she has been in season. Many bitches suffer from quite serious false pregnancies, their bodies believing that they have puppies to care for, lactating and altering both their character and their behaviour. This can be very distressing for any bitch and you should consider having your bitch spayed if she is a constant sufferer.
