2009

Now that I have put all the pain and hospital visits behind me, I feel that Iam starting to live my life. Iam enjoying dancing, my family and my dogs very much. My children are growing into confident beautiful talented kids and Iam so very proud of them both. I love being able to go out on walks with the dogs and Iam also enjoying dancing. I loved every minute of dancing in Lights Camera Action which was the end of year show that my dance school put on. My kids were amazing in it.

March 3rd, brought our lives to a halt again. Just when I had started enjoying life and thought we could not have any more bad luck, at 12.15am a man armed with a metal bar, broke into our house. After hitting my dog, standing on my son in his sleep, and attacking my husband, for the sake of our laptop and a bottle of wine out of our fridge, our lives were turned upside down. This was a terrifying experience and in the months that followed, it changed our lives in every way. The kids and I threw ourselves in to the dancing to take our minds off of it. We all lived in fear, and still are suffering from panic attacks etc.

Worst of all, and heartbreakingly we had to rehome most of our dogs. This time it was me, that held the family together. I could not cope with being there for my family and looking after the dogs too. As hard as it was, I knew at the time I had made the right decision and made sure that each and every one of my dogs that I rehomed went to the best homes possible with people that would keep in touch with me. Things are still, no better for us and I miss my dogs tremendously. The guy that broke in here, stole our lives and I dont think anyone could understand how hard it is. Iam going to continue to dance as much as possible and to spend time with the dogs that I have left and also to be with my family as much as possible. Hopefully one day, we can get past this and I can have my life back again. My happy life where my kids are happy, my husband is happy and Iam surrounded by beautiful huskies. Iam definitely more of a dog person than a people person as dogs could not be so cruel to do to humans what this guy has left us with.

Hoping 2010 will be much better and a new start for Northernwolf.
